MR. SWADER

VALLEY - Mr. Marion "Bully" Swader, 85, of Valley died Sunday, March 30, 2008 at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.

Funeral services are planned for Tuesday, April 1 at 4 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Perry Duffey officiating.

Burial will follow at Langdale Cemetery.

Mr. Swader is survived by his wife, Lois Clark Swader; six children, Bernette (Chris) Stodghill of Huguley, Louise (Bill) Whorton of Cusseta, Jimmy (Debbie) Swader and Tina (Wayne) Gunter, both of Valley, Sandra (Tommy) Johnson of Lanett and Don (Linda) Swader of Elberta, Ala.; one brother, Charlie Swader; three sisters, Myrtle Cole, Ruby Swader and Thelma Jarrells; 13 grandchildren; and several greatgrandchildren.

Born June 4, 1922 in Stroud, Mr. Swader was the son of the late Ollie Louisa Gauntt Swader and James M. Swader. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Swader was a retired employee of WestPoint Stevens' Langdale Mill. He was a member of the Methodist faith.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
