Mrs Sarah West, who suffered a stroke of paralysis some months ago, died Tuesday night, Oct 8th, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs Susie Prindle, on East Chestnut street. Her maiden name was Sarah Wells. She was born in Hariison county, Feb 25, 1827, and was married to Elias West, of Coshocton, June 17, 1847. Ten children were born to them, of which eiht survive her. Her husband was in Co E, 143rd Regt, Ohio Volunteers, and died while in that service, in 1864, leaving her with nine children which she reared to man and womanhood. She remained a widow until her death. She was a kind and lovingmother. Interment took place in Oak Ridge Cemetery last Thursday.
