Letha Darden or Leathia (as we spell it in the family) Elizabeth was born to Levi Thomas and Sarah Eliza Glover Murphree in Murphree Valley, Blount County, Alabama. Levi came to Texas at least by 1898 by his widowed mother, Margarett (who is buried at Mountain Peak, Texas. He married Sarah on 31 July 1898 in Ellis County. Both Levi and Sarah are buried in Milford Cemetery, too.
I began looking for more information on Leathia around 1978. Then, all the family knew was that she had married a man named Jack Darden and "disappeared". I had formulated the idea that maybe she died in child birth or something similar and that the family had never gotten word. Well, I have discovered that there was a male child born 8 August 1903 in Ellis County that died in infancy, but do not know where he was buried. By the dates, it doesn't quite work out that she died in child birth; so I'll have to rethink my ideas.
I just discovered her at Milford cemetery because of your great job. Thank you so much for solving a "mystery" in my family.
By the way, James R and Mary Darden, buried at Milford, are her husband's parents. Her husband, Jack L. Darden married a second time to Ruby E. Phillips, they had two children and I have them last in 1920 in Jones County Texas; haven't yet found them on 1930 census.
I hope this information is helpful to you and that you can add some of it to Letha/Leathia's listing. Thank you very much.
