Marie Gottfriede "Frieda" Dighton, age 68, of Buffalo Valley, Oklahoma was found murdered in her home on June 5, 2008. She was born July 8, 1939 in Babenhausen, Germany the daughter of Joseph Johann and Theresa (Franzke) Leistner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her youngest son, Clarence R. Dighton II.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence Richard Dighton; and four children.

Burial in Dighton Family Cemetery, Latimer County, Oklahoma. Cremation services were arranged by Talihina Funeral Home.
