The friends and relatives of Dorothy Collins are invited to attend her graveside service, Saturday, March 10, 2007 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens at 11:00 o'clock. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Friends may call at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Friday, March 9, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock.
Mrs. Collins was born July 21, 1918 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Walter Lee Poplin and Vera Boatfield Poplin.
An accomplished seamstress and wonderful cook, she and Charles enjoyed many years of traveling and spending time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her three daughters, Deloris C. Koger of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Charlene S. Collins of Plano, Texas and Judy A. Blommer of Ottumwa, Iowa, Six grandchildren, Deborah Koger, Monica Allen, Robbie Koger, Anne Blommer, John Blommer and David Blommer, and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Charles Edward Collins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
