TWIN CITY - J.E. Hagans, 69, died Friday morning at Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
The Bulloch County native was retired from Brooks Instrument Company after 25 years and was a member if Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Survvivors include his wife, Willena Hagans, Twin City; one daughter, Louise Sherro, Brooklet; two sons, Freddie L. Hagans, Statesboro, and Jimmy D. Hagans, Brooklet; one sister, Doris Wilt, Claxton; one brother, James Hagans, Savannah; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Hiers officating. Burial will be in the Lower Lotts Creek Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cecil Iler, Edward Iler, Edwin Hagans, Raymond Colson, Billy Joe Shaw and Tommy Hagans.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons if Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday from 309 p.m. at the funeral home.
