Sarah was the daughter of Erastus B. Craft and Jane Elizabeth Mills. She married Henry J. Cisne on 5 March 1883 in Fort Dodge, Webster, Iowa. In 1900 they were the parents of 8 children, 5 still living: Grace Maud, Daisy, Guy, Bessie Verle, Hazel Fern, Bonnie (aka Wanda), Elsie, and Cressie.
