Born Oct. 15, 1881, in Kanosh, UT, he came to Chico in 1962. He was self-employed as a farmer for 60 years. He was an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his widow, Florence; five sons, Larel, Nelson and Ralph, all of Chico, Clifford of Orland and Earl of Idaho; six daughter, Mrs. Irene Allred and Mrs. Evelyn Smith, both of San Jose, CA; Mrs. Dorothy Pannell of Durham, CA; Mrs. Florence Roberts of Chico, CA; Mrs. Naomi Johnstone of Sacramento, CA; and Mrs. Lousie Holt of Provo, UT; a sister Mrs. Ruby Iverson of Salt Lake City, UT; 47 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Visitation was Saturday and Sunday at the Hall-Van Hook Funeral Chapel.
