Funeral services for Georgia Hardin Winfrey of Grapevine were held Saturday, July 26 at 10 a.m. in the Lucas Chapel with the Rev. Jam Olney officiating. Burial was in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, with Lucas Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Winfrey was born in Pampa to the late Henry and Katie Hardin Thutt, but was reared by her late grandparents, Mr. and Mrs Bob Hardin of Grapevine following eh death of her mother when she was born. She was a resident of Grapevine all her life.
Mrs. Winfrey was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was active in the Grapevine Garden Club, organized the Ikebana Club, was a member of the Grapevine Historical Society and taught classes in ikebana flora design at the Grapevine Senior Citizens Center. She was also a member of the Women's Division of the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce.
She is survived by: her husband, Charles; a son, James Tate; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
