Jacob L. (Jake) Poole, 92, Cherry Street Manor, died at McCuistion Medical Center at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 4.


Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, at the First Baptist Church in Chicota with the Rev. Bruce burk officiating. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home will make burial in Forest Chapel Cemetery. The body will lie at the church from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.


The family will receive friends from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.


Mr. Poole was born Dec. 30, 1895, in Bennington, Okla., a son of Leonard B. and Sara Carley Poole. He attended Forest Chapel schools and was a veteran of World War I.


On Aug. 15, 1927, he married Porter Lee Seay. She died May 2, 1945. He married Janie McCourt in 1959.


Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Donna) Campbell of Dallas; one son, Bob R. Poole of San Antonio; five grandchildren, Rick L. Campbell of Kingwood, Dr. Mark R. Campbell of Clifton, Mrs. Kelly (Stacy) Coplin of Paris, LaRhetta Adkins of Plano and Deboreah Shook of Plano; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Paul Poole of Orange, Joseph Poole of Houston and Otto Poole of San Antonio; and several stepchildren and step-grandchilren.
