Funeral services were held July 3 at the Grandview Baptist Church, Springfield, with the Rev. Larry Lovvorn officiating.

Music was by the church choir which sang "Just a Rose will Do" and "The Wonder of it All." The congregation sang, "When We All Get to Heaven" and "When the Roll is Called up Yonder" accompanied by the pianist, Treva Lovvorn.

Escorts were Dave Bonner, John Howe, Richard Howe, David Clemens, Randy Choate and Keith Wingo.

Burial was in the Macedonia Cemetery in Buffalo under the direction of Montgomery Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.

Ona Mae Wingo was born in Dallas County at Elkland, the daughter of Wesley and Ethel (Breshears) Anglin, on June 15, 1916. She died July 1, 2002, at the Strafford Care Center, Strafford, at the age of 86 years and 15 days.

She had resided in Springfield since 1962 and worked at Osco Drug (Skaggs) until her retirement in 1977.

She was saved at an early age and was a member of Grandview Baptist Church. She loved her church family and considered them to be her second family.

She was united in marriage with Elmo Wingo on August 13, 1938, and to this union two sons were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmo; her son, Billy Wingo; three brothers: James, Lawrence and Othel Anglin; two sisters: Otie Ellen and Agnes Clemens.

Survivors include her son Frank and wife, Lynn Wingo; five grandchildren: Mark, Tona, Tammy, Shirley and Rhonda; a number of great-grandchildren; one brother, Bob Anglin; four sisters: Velma Austin, Patsy Austin, June Kelly, and Dorothy St. Clair; and a host of nieces, nephews; and friends who will sadly miss her presence.
