ALVIN W. PIEPER
Alvin W. Pieper, 81, of Rt. 1, Seguin, died Sunday, September 14th, in a San Antonio Hospital. He was born Nov. 13, 1887, in Comal County. And baptised and confirmed in the First Baptist church in New Braunfels. He attended New Braunfels Public Schools and graduated with honors from Seguin High School. He then started civil engineering at Purdue University. Due to illness he moved to Arizona and then to North Carolina. Upon recovery he returned to Texas to spend the remainder of his life in farming and ranching in the Seguin area.
Private funeral services were held Tuesday, September 16th, in the Goetz Memorial Chapel. Interment was in the Comal Cemetery at New Braunfels.
Decedent is survived by one sister, Mrs. Carl W. Raetzsch Sr. of Seguin; three nephews, Alvin Raetzsch of Lake Charles, La., Carl Raetzsch of Corpus Christi and Dr. Andrew Raetsch of Seguin.
Pallbearers were Edward Dedeke, Leslie Dedeke, Sydney Bauer, Billy Jones, G. W. Blumberg, Jr., and Burges Jones.
