Deacon John H. Caldwell, of Good Hope Church, Upson Co., Ga was born January 27, 1822 and was baptized the 3rd Sunday in May 1843, (By his father, Elder Creed Caldwell) ordained a deacon in 1854, and died June 20, 1884. He had a stroke of paralysis at the Echeconna Association last September, 1883, from which he never fully recovered, and which terminated his life in June of 1884.
