Adam Glarner— Adam Glarner, who died at 3 o'clock Saturday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Albert Getman in Ephratah. Mr. Glarner was one of the oldest citizens of the town of Palatine, of which he was a resident since 1854, locating in that township when he came from Germany, where he was born in 1812, and is now past 91 years of age, his death resulting from infirmities. Mr. Glarner was a veteran of the Civil War and belonged to Company B One Hundred and Fifty-third Regiment. New York Volunteer. He met the "last enemy with the same courage and bravery that he displayed when railed to the battle front by a patriotic devotion, and in the rigenes of age and with the proud honor of being an old soldier he hag been "mustered out" to the endless encampment where so many others of the boys in blue and the boys in eras have gone, and where a grateful nation wishes them endless peace and joy. Mr. Glarner, who was married twice, is survived by his widow, Elmira Pitcher Glarner, one son, John Glarner of Palatine and one daughter, Mrs. Albert (Bertha) Getman. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 1 o'clock from the Getman home. Burial will be in the Ephratah Cemetery.
