Bradfield Funeral at Alba Tuesday, Joplin News Herald, Monday March 17, 1947
Carthage Mo., March 17.-Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel J. Bradfield, 83 years old, who died at 3:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon at her home in Hiawatha, Kansas, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Alba Methodist church with the Rev. G. N. Pierce officiating.
Burial will be in Friends cemetery under the direction of the Ulmer funeral home. Mrs. Bradfield had lived in Hiawatha for the last 10 years and had been ill 10 days.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Iva L. Stewart of Hiawatha, Mrs. Irma B. Beyer of Long Beach, California, and Mrs. Leona L. Sponable of Joplin, and a son, O. C. Bradfield of Joplin.
The body will arrive in Carthage at 5:00 o'clock tomorrow morning and will be received by the Ulmer funeral home.
