Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM, Thursday, Nov. 6th, in Coffelt's Funeral Chapel. Art Krebs will officiate with interment following in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Betty was born in Sandpoint, Idaho on Sept. 10, 1926 the daughter of Ralph and Verda Hanson. She attended Bonner County Schools and married Harold Pellens on March 31, 1941 in Thompson Falls, MT.
She worked as a sales clerk for J C Penny's, a checker for Safeway, worked for the local Laundromat, and was a Fuller Brush Co. representative. She was also the relief Postmistress at the Kootenai Post Office for 8 years. Her husband, Harold, preceded her in death in 2000.
She moved to Grants Pass, Oregon where she married Allan Witcherley in May of 2005. In Grants Pass she was active in the family wood business.
Betty was a member of the Community Church in Tum Tum, WA, and a former Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed yard sales, riding her "quad," and playing solitaire.
She is survived by her husband Allan Wytcherley of Grants Pass, OR; her daughter Sharon (Dwight) Bond of Tum Tum, WA; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers Bud Hanson of Sandpoint, ID; and Del Hanson of Lake Chelan, WA. Also surviving are 6 stepchildren, 15 step grandchildren and numerous step great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sons Kenneth Ralph and Phillip Harold.
