Jeff Moore, Old Timer Passes Away at Upton
This community was saddened to hear of the death of Jeff Moore, which occurred December 30,1939 at his sons home in Upton, Wyoming. He spent Christmas with his son-in-law, Rheo Nicolen and children at Moorcroft, Wyo., returning to Upton he went to the home of his sons and passed away at 8:00 o'clock in the morning from a heart attack. He had worked for some time at the M & M filling station in Upton. His funeral was held January 1, 1940 at the Methodist church in Upton, burial was made in Moorcroft beside his wife. Jeff and his family lived near Moorcroft on a homestead for several years until his wife's death, when he went to Upton to work. He was loved and respected by all who knew him, he was a friend to the needy. He was a square shooter in all his dealings.
