Ronnie Joe Volentine (June 22, 1945 -- November 8, 2008) was a member of the Minden High School Class of 1965.
He died in Minden at the age of sixty-three. He and his wife, Marilyn R. Volentine (born August 12, 1950), resided at 614 Buchanan Street in Minden.
Services were held on November 11 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Bill Ichter officiating. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Volentine and Ida Volentine (1902-1980); a daughter, Tricia Lee, a brother, G.W. Lary; a sister, Nell Villarreal; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth; and half-brothers, Kneiland and Jack "J.C." Volentine.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, John C. Volentine; stepsons, Rodney D. Irving (born August 29, 1970) and wife Shelly and Robbie D. Irving (born August 24, 1972) and wife Lucy; a second daughter, Amanda Lowery, all of Minden; sisters, Patsy Brown of Minden and Billie F. Brouillard (born February 26, 1942) and husband Robert P. "Bob" Brouillard (born 1939) of Park River, North Dakota; half-brother, Raymond Volentine of Tulsa, Oklahoma; half-sister, Merlene Volentine of Houston, Texas, and ten grandchildren, Allison and John Cayden Volentine, Crystal and husband Clint Smith, Ronnie Dale Irving, Stiles Lowery, and Nick Wagner.
