He was united in marriage to Emily Grace Steward October 8, 1932 in Clay County, Arkansas. To this union child was born, Robert Elmer Beard. His wife preceded him in death.
He is survived by one son, Elmer Beard of North Little Rock, Arkansas, two grandchildren, two sisters, Lorene Lucy of Rector, Arkansas and Marie Lutes of Modesto, Calif; and other relatives and friends.
Stanley was wounded in action during World War II.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feburary 12 1978 at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home at 2:00 with Rev. O.H. Brooks officating. Pallbears were Larry Lucy, Harvey Lucy, Huey Lucy, Hank Janz, Gary Lucy and Glannis Oliver.
