Chico Enterprise-Record, Tuesday, February 20, 1979: "Mildred Dausey. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Hall-Van Hook Funeral Chapel for Mildred Luella Dausey, 73, of Durham, who died Saturday at a local hospital. She was born May 29, 1905 in Gualala, Mendocino County, to Frederick and Luella Byrne. She was reared and educated in Albion, later moving to Clear Creek. She married William E. Dausey in 1923 and they moved to Durham in 1927. Survivors include her husband; a son, William E. Dausey Jr. of Chico; a daughter, Beatrice Hansen of Biggs; a brother, Clifford Byrne of Albion; a sister, Mabel Anderson of Alameda; a step-brother, Victor Foucault of Lucerne; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Gaylord Enns of the Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church. Norman Sanberg will be the organist and Merrill Womach, the soloist. Musical selections will include `God Will Take Care of You' and `No Disappointment in Heaven.' Casketbearers include Tommy Smyth, Larry Gillick, Eddie McLaughlin, L. Otis Bethard, Lawrence W. Bethard and William Bethard. Burial will follow the service at Dayton Cemetary [sic]. Friends may visit at the chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. today. Those who wish may contribute to the Enloe Hospital or the American Heart Association in care of the Hall-Van Hook Funeral Chapel."
