Clarence Annawaush, 70, Lengby, died Thursday, May 28, 1992, at home.

Clarence Annawaush was born Jan. 5, 1922, the son of Charles and Margaret Annawaush, in Lengby, where he grew up and attended school. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for the Chicago post office until he was injured in a subway accident. He moved back to Lengby, where he cut timber and riced. He married Ida Porter June 23, 1962, in Mahnomen, Minn. Ida Annawaush died in 1982.

Survivors are his stepsons, Leonard Porter, Chicago, Fred "Pat" Porter, Mahnomen, Russell Porter, Bemidji and Gene Porter, Minneapolis, stepdaughter, Geraldine (Mrs. Orville) Ayers, Minneapolis brother, George, Lengby; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday in Pine Bend United Methodist Mission, rural Lengby.

Visitation: After 7 p.m. Sunday, with an 8 p.m. prayer service, and one hour before services in the church. Arrangements are with Matson Funeral Home, Mahnomen.
