Dolores (Dolly) McHenry Cox, 46, of Folcroft, a former hairdresser and active bowler, died Feb 13 at Taylor Hospital, Ridley Park. Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Cox lived in Folcroft for the last 14 years and previously lived in Ridley Township. A 1963 graduate of Ridley High School, she also graduated from the Bourbon Cosmetology School in 1965 and worked for a time as a hairdresser. Most recently she was employed as a billing clerk with Roxborough Medical Laboratories in Havertown. An avid bowler, Mrs. Cox was a member of the St. Rose of Lima League. She also was active with the Folcroft Girl's Club and belonged to St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Norwood. Surviving are her husband, Clinton (Butch) Cox Jr.; a daughter, Deborah Cox, at home; her Mother Gertrude Little McHenry of Folcroft; a brother, Francis (Frank) J. McHenry Jr. of Philadelphia; a sister, Terry McHenry Souder of Morton and several nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Francis J. McHenry. Her funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the James F. Knoetgen funeral Home, 746 Kedron Ave. (Route 420), Ridley Township.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Mohawk Ave., Norwood. Burial will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Marple. Calling hours will be after 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Instead of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 100 N. 17th St. Philadelphia, Pa. 19103.
