Cecile Bell Vanderburg, 89, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, in Arlington.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday in Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: 11 a.m. Monday in Grove Hill Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home.

Cecile was born Jan. 19, 1918, in Honey Grove to Thomas Henry and Cordelia Brownfield Bell.

She was a longtime former resident of Dallas and Rowlett and moved to Arlington in 2001. She was a member of Rockwall Church of Christ for many years before becoming a member of North Davis Church of Christ in Arlington. Cecile was also a member of the Songbirds Singing Group. She was a poet and artist who loved flowers, music and enjoyed traveling.

Survivors: Sons, Richard Vanderburg and wife, Gloria of Coral Gables, Fla., and Dan Vanderburg and wife, Ginger of Tucson, Ariz.; daughter, Vicki Tapp Risinger and husband, Carey of Arlington; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
