Harry L. Daub, 76-year-old self-employed tinsmith, of Myerstown Route 2, who maintained a shop at 135 West Main Street, Myerstown, for the past 30 years, suffered a fatal heart and fell dead from a ladder in the front yard of the Raymond Brown home at 204 North College Street, Myerstown, at noon yesterday. He was placing spouting at the home when he was stricken. Mrs. Brown and a neighbor woman discovered the lifeless body and spread the alarm. Myerstown Police Officer Harold Mann responded to a call, and took charge of the situation until the arrival of Dr. Carl S. Miller who pronounced the man dead. County Coroner Walter H. Brubaker issued a certificate of death due to a heart condition. Daub was a native of Fredericksburg, a son of the late William and Harriett (Loser) Daub. For years Mr. Daub was widely known as a band musician and played bass horn in various bands in and around Lebanon. He was a member of the Royal Men's Club, Lebanon. Mr. Daub was the last of his family and lived alone. [Lebanon daily News, May 13, 1949, Page 1 & 21]
