Flossie F. Allen, daughter of Charlie and Lillian (Lidy) Jewell, was born June 4, 1889 at Ansley, Nebraska and passed away April 2, 1981 at the Garden County Hospital at Oshkosh at the age of 91 years, 9 months and 29 days.

She received her schooling in the Ansley schools.

On January 13, 1907 she was united in marriage to Willis A. Allen at the home of her parents.

They set up housekeeping on a farm in the Big Springs area and were the parents of one daughter and one son.

They moved to Lewellen in 1944.

Mr. Allen passed away December 23, 1974 and Mrs. Allen continued to live in her home until her health began to fail.

She moved to the Lewellen Garden County Rest Home where she has resided until her passing.

She leaves to mourn her death, her daughter Leatha Adams of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; her son Harold Allen of Ogallala, Nebraska; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 1 brother, Orie Jewell of Carpenter, Wyoming and many other relatives and friends.

Final services were held Tuesday, April 7, 1981 at 1:00 p.m. from United Methodist Church in Lewellen.

Rev. Conley K. Hinrichs officiated. Music was provided by Dennis Hutson.
