Anna Tilgner-Allen, daughter of Henry Tilgner and Bertha Kirsch, was born July 29, 1885 in Frontier County, Nebraska.

She passed away June 21, 1982 at the Garden County Nursing Home at Oshkosh, at the age of 96 years, 10 months and 23 days.

She and her family moved to the Lewellen vicinity about 1897 where she resided until her death.

Mrs. Allen received her education in the public schools of Frontier County and District 45 of Deuel County, Nebraska.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lewellen, also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 14 until failing health 7 years ago necessitated nursing home care.

Mrs. Allen was united in marriage to Norman D. Green, November 26, 1904 at Lewellen.

She and her husband farmed and ranched 30 miles north of Lewellen until his death on November 10, 1932. Shortly thereafter she made Lewellen her home.

Mrs. Allen was united in marriage to Charles E. Allen on March 4, 1936 at North Platte.

She and Mr. Allen operated a cream station in Lewellen for a number of years.

Mr. Allen passed away in 1951.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

She is survived by one brother, Irving E. Tilgner, Sr. of Lewellen; two nephews, Irving E. Tilgner, Jr. of Daykin, Nebraska and Rudy A. Tilgner of Lewellen; one neice, Mrs. Edna Magnuson of Bridgeport, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 24, 1962 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Lewellen, Rev. Robert Hoeft officiated.

Musical selections "Beyond The Sunset" and "How Great Thou Art" were by Georgia Rittenhouse and Linda Cheney.

Pallbearers were Mack Boggs, Paul E. Temple, Neil McCormick, Wayne Rook, Alford Smith and Godfrey Pierce.

Interment was in Ash Hollow Cemetery.
