Visitation for Roy S. McClure of Mountain Home will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m Thursday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Mr. McClure died Tuesday (Aug. 15, 1989) at University Hospital at Little Rock. He was 77.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Bentley officiating. Burial will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys, of the home; four daughters; one brother,Richard McClure of Filer, Idaho; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one daughter, Marguerite Eisenbise.
Formerly of Russell, Kan., Mr. McClure had been a resident here since 1965. He was a retired drilling supervisor for Red Tiger Drilling Co. of Wichita,Kan. He was born July 3, 1912, at Oklahoma to the late Luther and Maggie Waters McClure. He and Gladys O'Donnell were married Sept. 14, 1935, at Arapaho, Okla. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
