Obit - Florence E Russell, 91, of Decatur died 11:06 a.m. Wednesday,(April 24, 2002) in St. Mary's Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood St. Funeral Home with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery. Memorials: Visiting Nurse Assn. Mrs. Russell was born July 4, 1910 in Long Creek Twp., the daughter of Irvin H. and Ida B. Mayberry Barnett. She was retired from the East Wood St. Restaurant, where she worked as a cook. Surviving are her sons, Lonnie Russell and wife Audrey of Varnville, S.C.; Larry Russell and wife Shirley of Decatur; daughters, Alberta Richardson and husband Stanley, Karen McGlauchlen and husband Roger and Sharon Ross, all of Decatur; sister, Jennie O'Hara and husband Robert of Holister, Calif. 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two brothers, one sister and two grandsons.
