Joseph Rex Harris, 90, of Oktaha, died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Muskogee Regional Medical Center. He was born March 31, 1918 in Muskogee to Arthur and Maebelle (Richardson) Harris. Joe was employed at Muskogee Iron Works as a welder for 43 years, until his retirement. He also worked on his farm and ran cattle, which he loved doing. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Joe was a person who could do anything. His greatest rewards were being husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Rex Harris, Jr.; one grandchild, Monique Webb; one great- grandchild, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Frances Harris; son and daughter-in-law, Grant and Pat Harris of Skiatook, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Webb of Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren, Joey Webb, Mike Webb, Amanda Janitz, Cara Webb, Gary Harris, Bryan Wilton and Brenda Miller; 17 great-grandchildren and one brother, Ed Harris of Texas.

The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Foster-Petering Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Bryan Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joey Webb, Mike Webb, Gary Harris, Bryan Wilton, Mark Janitz and Rett Harris. Honorary pallbearers are Braeden Webb, Jerett Webb, Baylee Webb, Kohen Webb, Branson Harris, Holden Glietz, Hayden Glietz, Tyler Lynch, Darren Wilton and Jeffery Wilton.
