Maud Davidson Allen Dies in California; Rites at Alma City
Graveside services for Mrs. Maud C. Davidson Allen of Sun Valley, Calif., were held Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Alma City cemetery with the Rev. William Johnson, pastor of the Janesville Methodist church, officiating. Pallbearers were Len, Fred, Lee and Willard Rollins, Henry Quade, Jr., and Eldon Remington.
Mrs. Allen died Nov. 8 at Glendale, Calif., of a heart condition. The body was returned to Minnesota by plane.
Maud C. Seaman was born June 20, 1872, at Alma City, the daughter of Phoebe and Fletcher D. Seaman. She was married July 9, 1891 at Alma City to Rolla Bian Davidson of Alma City. Following their marriage the couple lived at Des Moines, Iowa, for over 50 years. Mrs. Allen was a lifetime member of the Methodist church and also belonged to OES, DAR and was a past president of the Daughters of the Union Veterans.
Survivors include four children, Blaine E. Davidson, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Zula Haddick, Sun Valley, Calif.; Marvin R. Davidson, Des Moines, Ia.; and Mrs. Fern D. Hill of Glendale, Calif. Surviving brothers and sisters are Mead Seaman of Canada; Ernest Seaman and Mrs. Susan Turnacliff, of Glasgow, Mont., Mrs. Cynthia Phillipps, Whittier, Calif., and Mrs. Edna Hoverson, Jamestown, N. D. Nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive.

Former Resident Buried At Alma City

Mrs. Allen was born in Alma City June 20, 1872, a daughter of Fletcher and Phoebe Chase Seaman. She married Rolla Davidson in Alma City July 9, 1891. She was a member of the Eastern Star, D. A. R., and past president of Union Veterans.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Blaine Davidson of Long Beach, Calif., Marvin Davidson of Des Moinces, Iowa, Zula Heddick of Sun Valley, Calif., and Fern D. Hill of Glendale, Calif. Brothers and sisters surviving are Mead Seaman, Canada, Earnest Seaman, Glasglow, Montana, Susan Turnacliff, Glasglow, Cynthia Phillips, Whittier, Calif., and Edna Hoverson, Jamestown, N. D.
