Drowning at Ganister Blue Hole Quarry, Williamsburg
Francis Ray Zitsch was born in Altoona on Feb. 21, 1952, a son of Harry A. Jr. and Margaret (Hughes) Zitsch. He had just finished his sophomore year at Altoona Area, High School this month, and it was his first week of Summer employment at the Bel-Aire Auto Wash in Pleasant Valley.
He was a member of the mixed chorus at Altoona High, vocalist and leader of the Renaissance rock and roll group.
Surviving are his parents and two brothers: Arthur and Theodore, at home, and grandparent, James Hughes and Mr. and Mrs. Harry A. Zitsch Sr., of Altoona.
Friends will be received in the Johnson Funeral Home, Bellwood, after 2 p.m.. tomorrow.

Zitsch - Services for Francis Ray Zitsch of Altoona RD 2, Hillside Avenue and Fifty-eighth Street, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Johnson Funeral Home, Bellwood, by the Rev. Robert Harris. Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received in the funeral home after 2 p.m. today
