Retired Rancher of Big Horn Is Apoplexy Victim

Elisha Montgomery, aged 69 years, a retired rancher of the Big Horn country, died at 5:50 o'clock this morning in the family home in Big Horn, after an illness of a few days, brought on by an attack of apoplexy. Mr. Montgomery suffered some time ago.
Born in Coughman County, Texas, March 24, 1851, Mr. Montgomery came to Wyoming many years ago, and was regarded as one of the pioneers of his community.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Big Horn Methodist church. Rev. Mr. Kelley, pastor of the church will officiate, and Reed, Funeral Director of Sheridan, will have charge of the services. Burial will be in the Big Horn cemetery.
Besides his widow, Mr. Montgomery is survived by one brother, William, of Wichita Falls, Tex., one sister, Mrs. Maggie Lucky, Clariet, Tex., seven sons, James, George, Charles, and Vernon of Big Horn, Robert of Bozeman, Mont.; William of Durham, Okla., and John of Alaureedd?, Tex., and eight daughters, Lelia, and Ethel of Big Horn; Mrs. Zella Williams and Mrs. Mamie Heusley of Durham, Tex.; Mrs. Beulah Towell of Canadian, Tex.; Mrs. Nora Moler, of Erick, Okla., and Mrs. Ellen Banks of Sweetwater, Okla.
