William was born to George M. Roswell and Ellen Adelle Jenkins. Both parents have preceeded him in death. He served in the Army as a supervisor cook while stationed in Alaska. When discharged he served in the civil service and held a job at Fair Child AFB for 31 years. William became interested in genealogy when his wife decided to continue to do hers. His life's love was fishing with his best friend John and his brother in law George and of course his wife and other family members when he got the chance. He loved helping take care of his granddaughter and use to keep her busy with cooking things and outside playing in the yard when the weather permitted.
William was married three times with only one son living, a step son and a step daughter in law who he loved deeply.
The genealogy bug bit him hard and he began a 5 year love & hate relationship with finding his ancestors and their desendants. Through Find A Grave he found that he could ask if someone knew where a cemetery was at and asked if they would get a photo of them for him. Thank you for helping him that way! I cannot count the times as they are many and especially in the MN area and VT area.

William was a very shy but kind gentle teddy bear type of person, with a heart of gold. None could have asked for a better husband, father or grandfather than him.
