His siblings were: Mary Elizabeth Horner 1835; Nancy Minerva Horner 1840 – 1879; Lavana Carolina Horner 1843 – 1874; Joseph Marion Horner 1844 – 1912; Martha Melvina Horner 1848 – 1877; Deadrick Nelson Horner 1850 – 1920; Louis Franklin Horner 1854 – 1853 and Thomas Newton Horner 1856 – 1929.
