A PLEASANT SURPRISE
Previous to his departure for San Antonio to be married, Rev. Mr. Burrough's rented a residence whether he intended to bring his bride.
At the suggestion of lady members of his congregation the reverend gentleman decided not to furnish it until after his return, the point being that he didn't know just what was needed and that it would be much better for him to wait until he could have the advice and assistance of his soon to be wife in making selections.
Mr. Burroughs departed on his mission and the ladies at once proceeded to furnish the house complete. Everything was in position by Thursday evening when the newly married couple reached the city and they were at once driven to their new home.
The whole affair was well managed, and was quite a surprise to the reverend gentleman and his young bride.
