Oscar Franklin Campbell was the son of John Allen and Margaret Elizabeth (Bette) Blackwell Campbell. He was born at Harmony, Johnson County, Arkansas.

Oscar's first wife was Lillie G. Boyd, the daughter of Harrison and Mary Caroline Barker Boyd. They were married on Aug. 28, 1899 at Natural Dam, Crawford County, Arkansas. On July 13, 1900 Oscar and Lillie were blessed with a son, W. Forrest Campbell, whom they named after Lillie's younger brother, Forrest Boyd. In 1902 another son was born to the couple, but it didn't survive.

Lillie died with tuberculosis when Forrest was about three years old. Then Forrest passed away on Nov. 27, 1912 at age 12, when he was hit by a streetcar in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Lillie, Forrest, and the Infant are all buried at New Hope Cemetery in Tecumseh, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma, where they were living at the time of their deaths.

On Dec. 29, 1908, Oscar then married Vinnie Jewel Cline, the daughter of Daniel A. and Sarah J. Wells Cline in Johnson County, Arkansas. They divorced after a brief marriage. Vinnie J. Campbell died in 1956 and was buried at Grandview Cemetery in Boundary County, Idaho.

Oscar and Vinnie were the parents of a daughter, Trussie Estelle/Estella Campbell, who was born on Jan. 8, 1910. Estelle, as she was known, married George W. Wright in 1928 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. George Wright died in 1949 in Idaho.

Estella's second husband was Ivan Leo Dempsey, whom she married February 22, 1957. Estella passed away June 28, 2000 in Libby, Lincoln, Montana. She was buried by her first husband in the Grandview Cemetery in Boundary County, Idaho.

Oscar's third wife was Cora Manly Watson, the daughter of John W. and Caroline Carter Watson. They married on August 18, 1919 at Harmony, Arkansas. Oscar and Cora had one son, Holmes Campbell, who was born on June 14, 1920. Holmes passed away on Aug. 20, 1990.
