Jane Franz, 1949-2005

Jane Lee Franz, 56, of Columbia died Monday, Aug. 1, 2005, at Boone Hospital Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Fenton Funeral Chapel in Centralia with John Wesley Smith of Hallsville officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Centralia Cemetery.

She was born April 12, 1949, in Cincinnati, the daughter of James and Jane Hartman Harvey.

On June 6, 1970, she was married in Cincinnati to Gerald Franz, and he survives.

Mrs. Franz was a graduate of the University of Ohio-Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in language and education. She was a computerized Braille transcriber for Clovernook and was office support-student aid on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus.

She was a member of North Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
