Mrs. Agnes Smith Sibson, 1004 E. Mesquite, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday following a long illness.Mrs. Sibson was born in Gonzales County to the late William Robert Smith and Eva Hill Smith, who survives. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.Interested in history, she was a member of several national historical societies, including Order of Descendents of Colonial Governors, Colonial Dames of the Seventeenth Century, Daughters of American Colonists, Daughters of the American Revolution, United States Daughters of 1812, and United Daughters of the Confederacy.Rosary for Mrs. Sibson, who was a retired school teacher, will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Colonial Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Petech and the Rev. Gino Bernasconi officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.The body will lie in state at the funeral home until 8:45 a.m. Thursday when it will be taken to the church.Survivors include her mother, of Victoria; a brother, Col.
