"Ruth, wife of Wm. Bowler, died at her home in Center township, this county, Thursday evening Dec. 1, '87, aged about 27 years, of jaundice. Deceased had been in poor health for about a year, but her death was unexpected and was quite a shock to her friends. She was a member of the M. E. Church, and a highly respected Christian woman. The funeral took place on Friday. The remains were interred at the Rogersville cemetery."
