Graveside services for George Barker Jr. of Burnet were Nov. 5, 2008, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
Mr. Barker died Nov. 3 at Hilltop Village in Kerrville. He was 88.
He was born June 27, 1920, in Buford, Ga., to George and Ruth McCrea Barker.
Mr. Barker was owner of Barker Feed Mill in Lampasas. He was a real estate broker, rancher and businessman.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Burton of Burnet; a son, Charles Barker of Burnet; two sisters, Betty Whitis of Lampasas and JoAnn Lancaster; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family requested memorials be made to Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children.
