Dr. Chas. S. Allen, formerly of Johnson County, died in a hospital in Kansas City, Mo., last Thursday March 8. His body was brought to Clarksville Saturday and funeral services were held at the Harmony cemetery at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. D. E. Steeley pastor of the Baptist church in this city. Burial was made in the Harmony cemetery.

Dr. Allen was the son of the late T. H. Allen and wife and was born in Clarksville 44 years ago. His young boyhood was spent in this city and after entering the medical profession several years later while the family lived in
Oklahoma he came back to Johnson County and began the practice of his chosen profession at Harmony. While living at Harmony he was married to Miss Edith
Baskin also of that community and to them two children were born Don and Opal who with his wife survive him.

A few years ago Dr. Allen moved to Quapaw, Okla. where he was a practicing physician at the time of his death.

In addition to his wife and two children he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Thos. H. Allen of Kansas City, by two brothers, and by nine sisters. Mrs. John W. Lewis is one of the sisters.
