Bernard C. Barnes, 80, of Wyoming died at 2:15 am Tuesday in Proctor Hospital, Peoria. Services were held today at 10 am in St. Dominic's Church, the Rev. Arthur Bray officiating. Burial was in St. Dominic's Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 3 to 5 and 6 to 9 pm Wednesday at Wyoming Funeral Home, where the Rosary was recited at 8.

He was born Aug. 3, 1893, in Marshall County, a son of John and Elizabeth Meehan Barnes, and married Celestine Ryan who died in 1920. He married Mary McIntyre May 25, 1933.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. William (Celestine) Mayr of Deltona, Fla., Mrs. Robert (Joann) Palmer of Lombard and Mrs. Lee (Catherine) Aldrige of Normal; two sons, J. Thomas of Manister, Mich., and Francis Barnes of Wyoming; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard of Bradford and James of Wyoming; and four sisters, Mrs. Rose Murphy, Mrs. Gertrude Bogner, Mrs. Raymond Ryan and Mrs. Elizabeth Finnigan of Bradford.

A sister and a brother also preceded him in death.

Mr. Barnes was a member of St. Dominic's Church and American Legion.
