She was a very lively, fun-loving, and charismatic woman. She was an exceptionally good cook, and housekeeper. She was very responsible, thrifty, and hard-working.
She was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and the Masonic Order in North Lewisburg, Champaign County, Ohio. She was very popular with area wives and could count many hundreds of them as friends.
She loved to play Euchre...at home, at the home of friends, and at the many Euchre parties which were popular in that area of the country.
Her home was spotless, well-appointed and a haven for visiting relatives and friends. Their large farmhouse and well-maintained farm were local landmarks, located on the outskirts of North Lewisburg. For many years they maintained a maple sugar camp on their property. A large, private pond was also usually well-stocked with fish, and often used by her many friends and relatives. The grounds of the farm were visited each year by family members who hunted pheasants and rabbits. Large family reunions were often held on the premises.
Upon Glen's death in 1994, Lillian relocated to the town of North Lewisburg. She underwent surgery for colon cancer in 2000, and survived for approximately two years before her death on 27 December 2002.
