Clarence D. "Pete" Blevins, age 75, of 1989 Lancaster Pike, Peach Bottom, PA died Wednesday afternoon, November 5th, at Lancaster General Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Pete was born in Little Helton, NC, a son of the late Oscar L. and Minnie P. Sheets Blevins. An entrepreneur, he was involved most of his life in the metal industry, as a certified metallurgist, a certified welder, and metal fabrication. He also was involved in agriculture, helicopter service, and kayak business. A veteran, Pete served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Quarryville Post 3575, the Wakefield Lions Club, and Wrightsdale Baptist Church.

Pete is survived by his partner and fiancee, Michele Sambol; his two sons, Michael Blevins of New Providence, and Patrick Blevins of Maryland; his three daughters, Audrey wife of Kevin Phipps of Peach Bottom, Lisa wife of David Depew of Texas, and Brenda Blevins of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Nikki wife of Mike Habecker and Scott husband of Laurie Davis; a brother, Tracy Blevins of Quarryville; three sisters, Pauline wife of James Duvall of Maryland, Mary Perkins of Lancaster and Margaret wife of Barry Axe of Quarryville. Pete was preceded in death by four brothers, Stephen, Walter, James and David.

Funeral services will be held from the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA on Monday at 11:00 AM with Pastors Tracy J. Duvall, Sr. and Delmer G. Duvall officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call at the Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Sunday from 6:00-8:00 PM and again at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Kindly omit flowers. Contributions may be made in Pete's memory to the Wakefield Ambulance Association.
