Mabel R. Arnold, 76, of 1106 Titus, Traverse City, died Wednesday at Grand Traverse Medical Care Facility after a long illness.
The daughter of John and Edith (Riley) Olman, she was born at Mayfield on April 14, 1900, and lived all her life at Traverse City. She was married, at Traverse City in 1919, to Lester F. Arnold.
Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her husband in 1955; a son, Lester J. and six brothers. She is survived by three sons, J. F., George and Ivan, all of TC; a daughter, Mrs. Willie (Edith) Compton of TC; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Witkop of TC, Mrs. Ralph (Jane) Herington of Montrose and Mrs. Fritz (Maxine) stocking of Redford; five brothers, Lester, Jack, Richard, Frederick and Charles Olman, all of TC; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Hibbard Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Alvin Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
