Olevia was the daughter of Mahala Alma Meadors and Matthew Elzie Henderson. She married William L. Campbell on April 6, 1890 in Crawford county, Arkansas. They had the following children: Bessie, Mamie, Annie, Mary, James, Frances Nietta, Clara, Maynard, Perry and Bertha.

In 1909 William and Olevia moved to Texas where they lived until 1916 when they bought a farm near Idabel, Oklahoma.
