Lincolnton, N.C. - Mr. Eddie McCoy "Shorty" Beal, 65, of 1998 Buffalo Shoals Road in Lincolnton, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at home.
His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at Antioch Baptist Church, with the Revs. Bill Stanley and William Painter officiating. His body will be placed at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, Thursday, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Beal was born Nov. 21, 1942, in Lincoln County to Macie Williams Beal and the late Robert E. Beal Sr. He was self-employed as an electrician.
Survivors include his mother, Macie Williams Beal of Lincolnton; one brother, Robert E. Beal Jr. and wife, Bessie; three sisters, Jewell B. Lane and husband, Michael, Ann B. Caldwell and husband, Kermit, and Trudy G. Beal, all of Lincolnton; and special friend, Jewell Rinck of Lincolnton.
