Vivia McLemore
ROXIE -- Vivia McLemore, 96, of Roxie, died of heart failure July 20, 1997, at Natchez Community Hospital.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. today at Hamburg Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. McLemore was born Jan. 1, 1901, in Franklin County. She was the daughter of Moses Miranda Martin and Lola Henretta Guice Martin.
She taught school and was an administrator for over 45 years and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Hamburg Baptist Church, where she served as the pianist for 40 years.
Mrs. McLemore was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Thomas McLemore; two brothers, and one sister.
She is survived by four sisters, Christine Turner of Roxie, Florence Wood of Laurel, Ella Mae Miller of Minnetonka, Minn., and Ruth Calcote of Printiss.
