Clara,passed away at the St. Anthony's Hospital in Hays, Kansas. She was 55 years of age d/o Abraham & Isabella Henrietta ( Ernst) Haas. On April 14, 1900 she was united in marriage to Edwin Heberling Grumbein, who preceded her in death by only six days. To this union were born one daughter, Beryl McFarren, of McCracken, nine sons; William of Brownell; Aubrey, of Bison; Merle,of Southwest City, MO.; Jessie & Ray,of McCracken; Clarence, Franklin,Johnnie and Paul all of the home. Besides her children she leaves to mourn her loss two brothers, Harry.N. Haas, of McCracken; and Adam.D. Haas,of LaCrosse; two sisters, Mrs Lizzie Metz,of Lockheed, Canada.; and Mrs. Sarah Rodeman, of Siwash, CO. Funeral services were held at the home last Sunday afternoon at 2:00, with Rev. T.M. Johnson officiating. With the burial in the McCracken cemetery.
