ALDEN — Mrs. Lillie May Alspaugh, 92, who had lived most of her life in this community, died Tuesday evening at her home following a long illness. She was born at Diamondale, Mich., May 19, 1879, the daughter of Hiram and Emily Gooden.
Survivors include two sons, Garland G. Alspaugh of Lansing and Ellsworth Alspaugh of Alden; a daughter, Mrs. Olive Blankenbeker of Richmond, Ind.; a brother, Freeman Gooden of Mancelona; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Lane of Valley Center, Cal., and Miss Emma Gooden of La Puenta, Cal., 16 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Matthew Learned funeral home in Bellaire with Elder Bliss officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the Helena Township Cemetery at Alden.
